In 2018, Sew Bridal opened focusing on alterations and custom gowns.
Over the next two years, we kept hearing the same story from brides: their shopping experiences were disappointing, especially for plus-size brides who often felt limited by size inclusivity issues or pressured by stylists telling them what they “should” or “shouldn’t” wear. We were shocked—this is supposed to be one of the most memorable and empowering moments of a woman’s life.
That’s when we realized we wanted to do more. We expanded into selling wedding gowns so we could create a truly positive, inclusive, and personalized experience for every bride. Our goal has always been to make each woman feel celebrated, comfortable, and confident, with access to a wide range of styles and sizes—so every bride can try on anything she wants and genuinely enjoy the moment.
